Nature’s Domain Dog Food Reviews and Recalls: An Expert’s Take on Organic Dry Dog Food

Nature’s-Domain-Dog-Food-Reviews

It has been 5 years now since I’ve been dog parenting. To be honest, I’ve seen dry dog foods and canned ones which make over-the-top claims on how good they are with ingredients and nutrition.

In reality, most of the brands come with fillers and poor nutrition ratio. Also, you get leftover meat, cringe-worthy synthetic flavor, and more.

Do you want to feed your friend, your companion something like that?

I hope not!

I parted ways long ago.

After going through dozens of Nature’s Domain Dog Food Reviews and turning myself into an “Organic Dog Food Scholar (Pun Intended), I can now say that the organic is the right way to go.

So, “What motivated me to switch directions?” and “Which Nature’s Domain Dog Foods won me over?” Let us find out in this article of mine.

Nature’s Domain Dog Food – Comparison

Why an Organic Food Franchise Like Nature’s Domain?

Organic dog foods are the best when you want to take care of your dog’s needs without causing any harm to the body as a whole. Even so, I have particular set of reasons for choosing this brand over the rest. Let us explore them together.

Nature’s Domain Gives your Dog a Better Shot at Overcoming Skin Problems

I am not lying when I say, whatever your dog eats it shows. The diet of your four-legged friends can cause rough skin, uneven coat and overall gloomy look. The best way to counter allergies, dust mites, and a rough skin is through having minerals, chondroitin, Omega-3 and 6 fatty acids, and a bunch of herbs.

Everything is packed to bits in where?

Get a clue.

Yes, in an Organic diet like Nature’s Domain.

Say Goodbye to Digestion Problems

Majority of your dog’s problems stems from the stomach. Believe it or not, your canine friends fall prey to upset stomach more often than not.

The major player staging the show from behind is the food you give them.

Normal dry dog foods tend to make these fur balls full. Some deliver nutrients in an unbalanced way. Some do it at the cost of other elements.

But not Nature’s Domain.

This food brand provides your furry friends with handpicked, balanced, and non-reactive herbal ingredients that don’t hamper the natural equilibrium of the stomach.

Yup, I see quite a lot of you saying, “But there’s brown rice there!” And, it’s true. But this brown rice is already processed and made into absorbable particles. Dogs can assimilate these things without any troubles.

Your Dog Won’t Poop THAT Much

We are so much into nutrient sources and taste and all the gimmicks in dog food these days that we forget that too much of a good thing can be a bane for our friends.

Eating too much of the wrong stuff can make our canine friends’ stool quantity high.

In any scenario, this is a red sign.

The conventional canned or dry dog foods put a dent on the digestive system.

But as Nature’s Digest Dog Food Reviews mention, these food recipes are easy to digest and absorb. This reduces the stool output for our pets. Also, the stools become firmer than before.

These Food Recipes Energize Your Four-Legged Beasts

Have you ever been to a play date with your dog?

The play dates and regular training are necessary to keep your pet healthy and agile.

Calorie count in Nature’s Domain dog foods is on the higher side. This much calorie will surely keep the beasts active, agile, nimble, and hungry for more.

Gives Your Dogs Clean Teeth

Who here likes to sleep in bed with their dogs?

I am sure I do!

I enjoy cuddling him and sleeping right next to him. And I know how sleeping with your dog can be uncomfortable. Specially, when the beast gives off stench every morning due to his dinner last night.

Luckily, for me, that’s not the case. Nature’s Domain Dog Food follows an herbal formula. This formula doesn’t allow any ingredient that can trigger absurd stench the following day after eating.

It doesn’t even clog your pet’s teeth. So, you don’t have to spend too much time in cleaning the debris.

Top Nature’s Domain Dog Food Reviews

As with many brands of dry dog diet, you’ll find a number of varieties which we call formulas. Nature’s Domain isn’t an exception to that. As there are many formulas or recipes, I went on the easy route and selected three of the top ranking dry dog food I got my hands on.

I fed them to my dogs, monitored the four-legged beasts and after eight months, here are my short reviews on each of those products. Enjoy!

1. Nature’s Domain Grain-Free All Life Stages Salmon Meal & Sweet Potato Formula for Dogs

Nature's-Domain-Salmon-Meal & Sweet-PotatoThis brand from Kirkland comes into its own with this recipe. Why do I say this? “Grain-Free” diet has the impressive combo of Salmon Meal and Sweet Potato as Protein and Carbohydrate source. Not to mention you have Oatmeal in the mix. When you think of it, it’s pretty rare combo.

No, I didn’t just “Whoosh Over” the “Grain-Free” aspect of it. This IS important. The fact that Nature’s Domain doesn’t contain soy, barley, corn, beans, and other dangerous Carbs means you can very well put that in your good book.

Also, sweet potato is a carbohydrate source that is easy to digest. As a result, your puppies, adults, and senior dogs don’t go through tummy problems. Don’t believe me? Check out numerous Nature’s Domain Dog Food Reviews

Since we are discussing digestive proficiencies of this dog food, I have to mention various probiotics and pre-biotics that actually help by speeding up the process. You have dry chicory root taking care of the fact.

Just to give you an idea of how many of them there are, one pound of Grain-Free Dog Food for all Life Stages supplies a total of 100 million of them. That’s more than massive numbers!

These are called Active9™ Probiotics in short. The manufacturers culture these from GI tract of other canines. The process is entirely natural and human-grade.

Good thing is, people can use this as a regular diet. This formula isn’t restricted to “Age Limit” or “Breed” for that matter. Naturally, I use this product to feed five of my dogs. These dogs belong to different breeds and life stages.

Now, I keep saying, “Organic” and it is filled with veggies and legumes. The ingredient list points out that it has organic peas, beans, and sweet potatoes. These things provide Carbohydrates to your dog and make him feel full. Also, you have chicken meal as a protein source that strengthens his ligaments.

To add to the existing repertoire of nutrients you have fiber that gives an adult canine agility to get through his day. Also, count on phytonutrients to provide herbal goodness for your friends.

Nature's Domain Dog Food Recall History

As you know, Nature’s Domain is a brand is partially owned by Diamond Pet Foods and Costco. Both the companies have suffered recall incidents in the past. Let us look into those instances while we are at it.

  • Diamond Foods pulled the food out of the market between the period of December, 2011 to May, 2012. They suspected the food to be infected by Salmonella. Although these foods weren’t affected, Diamond pulled them out nonetheless as a part of precaution.
  • Costco had a Nature’s Domain Dog Food Recall issue way back in 2007. But it was for the “Canned” variety of dog food and not the dry diet.

Final Thoughts I Leave You With

I don’t want you to miss a speck of detail. Don’t go into thinking that Organic Dog Foods cost any less than their “Non-Organic” counterparts. In fact, it is the opposite. But they are worth of every dime that you put as purchase money.

Also, Nature’s Domain Dog Food Reviews of mine clearly mention what you are in for when you are buying one of the top three recipes. These are all human-grade recipes with ingredients that bear positive impact on your four-legged buddy. Everything is fine tuned to the minute detail for adult dogs.
