Communicate with Your Dog by Learning Body Language, Behavior and Signs

If anyone from your friend’s circle is disturbed, you may find it easy to catch it, and it is easy to know the problem because you can communicate easily. But the case with your pets is different because you do not know their language.

A pet owner must be attentive toward the dear animal especially if they own dogs because they are highly sensitive. But it is not hard to understand their issues, needs and wishes if you are caring and considerate towards your furry friends.

You can understand a dog’s problems if you care about them to recognize their needs and yearning and friendly towards them by discovering somebody signs and behavior. And that are not hard to learn if someone is concerned.

Sounds

Dogs tend to talk by making different sounds and they all have different meaning like barking can express playful behavior like they are enjoying playing or they want to play. They also bark when alert about some danger. Growling portrays an aggressive behavior in common, but it may show the feeling of fear from strangers.

Whining or crying is a common way for the dogs to express pain, stress or wishes. Grunting often shows happiness, relief, and joy but it becomes a matter of concern when the dog starts grunting while sleeping or grunt excessively.

Honking sounds or reverse sneeze can be indicating virus or infection in the throat, and you may need the doctor. Same goes for coughing; continuous cough is an indicator of heart disease, heartworm, lungs problem, fungal infection or congestive heart failure.

Howling is a way of expressing anxiety. Barking or growling in sleep may be indicating dreams. Smoke, dirt or mites can cause sneezing. Snoring can be risk-free, but unusual snoring indicates allergies and poison effects.

Body Postures

There can be different moods of a dog that can be expressed through body postures. Like relaxed ears, tail and stance with head high show the calm and approachable mood. If a dog is lowering its body, and tail, ears, and corners of mouth back while looking away show fearful and worried mood.

Lower front body with tail up tells that the dog wants to play. Relaxed eye and body with exposed tongue express the wish of a belly rub. If your dog has closed eyes and mouth, flat ears, tucked tail and head turned away it means that the dog wants to be alone or may be upset.

Horizontal tail and wagging slightly, eyes opened widely, perked ears and leaning forward shows that the dog is interested and joyful. Tail up and stiffed, perked ears, nose wrinkled and teeth bare show the aggressiveness of the dog.

Dog Behaviors

There can be different activities of the dog that reveals many things about their health mood and feelings.

A fearful or aggressive dog can adopt biting behavior, but it is also a symptom of stress. Circling can be fun for dogs, but it also indicates ear infections, idiopathic vestibular syndrome and poisoning or brain tumors you may need a vet.

Digging is a natural habit of the animals, but if dogs are doing excessively and to annoy you deliberately, you need a professional trainer to impede stubborn habits. Eating poop is disgusting for humans but not for dogs as it can be a natural convention, but it may be indicating nutrition deficiency too.

Head pressing against the wall means you furry friend wants your attention. Dogs pant to regulate their body temperature when they feel too warm, make sure they are hydrated properly. Yawning indicates fear and stress while sitting between your legs means anxiety.

Scooting is one of the indicators of anal infection while too much urination indicates kidney problems internal track or bladder infections or dementia in old dogs.

Be their friend

The cute creature turns to be your best friend; now it is your turn to be the best friend of your dogs. The dogs are sensitive, and their behavior can be determined by the owners only. Their every act and habit change has any particular reason so they must be observed.
